How to use these games at home
The Kids games are most valuable when an adult takes part. Sit next to your child, read the task aloud and talk about the answer before they tap or drag. In Kids True Colors, name the pencil's colour together before reading the word. In Kids Math and Kids Counting, count on fingers or with real objects. In Kids Crossword, name the picture and sound out the word letter by letter. Keep sessions short — five to fifteen minutes is plenty — and stop while it is still fun.
Our commitments for child-directed pages

Choosing the right game for your child
Kids Counting is the gentlest starting point, with friendly pictures to count. Kids True Colors suits children who know their colours and are starting to read colour words. Kids Math moves on to simple sums, and Kids Crossword is for children ready to spell short words from picture clues.

Game-by-game overview
Kids Math
Kids Math is a learning game with 40 short lessons. Each lesson shows a simple maths task built from numbers and plus, minus and equals signs, and the child drags the right number into place to complete it.
Best thing about it: 40 lessons of practice. Watch out for: Needs an adult to explain tasks for the youngest children.
Kids Counting
Kids Counting is a learning game with 40 short lessons that help young children count. Each lesson uses friendly pictures — apples, cats, butterflies, flowers and more — alongside numbers and plus, minus and equals signs. Children drag the right answer into place.
Best thing about it: Counting with friendly pictures. Watch out for: Best with an adult nearby to explain each task.
Kids True Colors
Kids True Colors is a quick colour-recognition game. A coloured pencil appears together with a colour name such as RED, BLUE, GREEN, YELLOW, PURPLE, ORANGE or PINK. The child decides whether the name matches the pencil and presses the yes or no button. Correct answers add to the true count, mistakes to the false count.
Best thing about it: Practises colours and reading together. Watch out for: Requires some reading — the youngest children will need help.
Kids Crossword
Kids Crossword is a set of 20 crossword puzzles for young children. Instead of written clues, each word is shown as a picture — a ball, a balloon, a book and many more — so children can work out the word from the image and fill in the letters.
Best thing about it: Picture clues suit early readers. Watch out for: Typing letters is easier with a keyboard than on a phone.
