What is Fruit Slasher?
Slice flying fruit, avoid the bombs and build big combos.
Fruit Slasher is a fruit-slicing game. Apples, bananas, cherries, lemons, oranges, pears, plums and strawberries are tossed up into the air, and you swipe across them to slice them in half. Each fruit sliced adds to your score.
Bombs are thrown up along with the fruit, and slicing one costs you a life. Slice several fruits in a single swipe to earn combos. The game ends when you run out of lives, and your best and last scores are saved.
Controls
- ▸Swipe with the mouse or your finger to slice.
- ▸Slice several fruits in one swipe for a combo.
- ▸Avoid swiping through bombs.
How it plays
Fruit flies up from the bottom of the screen and falls back down. You swipe across it before it drops. Slicing a bomb costs a life.
Combos reward slicing several fruits in one motion. The game gets busier as it goes, with more fruit and more bombs in the air at once.
Quick tips
- ★Combos are worth more than single slices.
- ★Swipe around bombs, not through them.
- ★Stay calm when the screen gets busy.
Getting a higher score
Wait for clusters
Fruit often rises in groups. Waiting a moment until several fruits line up lets you slice them all in one combo swipe.
Mind the bombs
Bombs are mixed in with the fruit. Plan your swipe path around them.
Short, controlled swipes
Long, wild swipes are more likely to hit a bomb. Short, deliberate swipes are safer.
Getting started
- Swipe through the first fruits as they rise.
- Watch for bombs and avoid them.
- Try to slice two fruits in one swipe.
- Keep an eye on your lives.
- Beat your score on the next round.
Common mistakes to avoid
- ✕Swiping wildly through bombs.
- ✕Slicing fruit one at a time.
- ✕Letting fruit fall unsliced.
How Fruit Slasher compares
Fruit Slasher is the only slicing game on GAME SPACE. Its closest relatives are Balloon Paradise and Touch Ball, which also reward quick reactions on moving targets.
If you enjoy fruit themes, Fruit Snake is a classic snake game where you eat fruit.
Deep dive
Satisfying and simple
Fruit Slasher's appeal is the satisfying feeling of a clean slice. It is immediately understandable and great for quick sessions.
Risk and reward
Combos encourage longer swipes, but longer swipes risk hitting bombs. That balance keeps every throw interesting.
Who it suits
Fruit Slasher suits players of all ages, especially on touch screens.
Eight kinds of fruit
Fruit Slasher features apples, bananas, cherries, lemons, oranges, pears, plums and strawberries, each with its own slicing sound. They fly up at different heights and speeds, so the screen is always changing.
Building combos
Combos reward slicing several fruits in one swipe. Waiting for fruit to cluster at the top of their arc gives you the best chance.
Mouse versus touch
Swiping with a finger on a touch screen feels the most natural, but a mouse works well too.
How to score more in Fruit Slasher
Good Fruit Slasher scores come from patience. Fruit is thrown upward and slows down at the top of its arc before falling, so that moment is the easiest time to slice it — and the moment when several fruits are most likely to line up for a combo. Rather than chasing each piece as soon as it appears, wait a beat and swipe through the group at the peak. Keep your swipes short and deliberate so you can steer around bombs, which are thrown up alongside the fruit. When the screen gets very busy, it is better to skip a fruit than to risk a bomb. Over a few rounds you will develop a natural rhythm: watch the throw, wait for the peak, swipe through the cluster.
