Fishing Frenzy review
7.0/10
By the GAME SPACE editorial team · Updated October 3, 2026 · How we rate games
Why these scores
Bait, bombs, timed bubbles and levels give it several systems to juggle.
Moving the boat and dropping the hook is simple, though managing resources takes time.
Levelling up gives some progression, but sessions feel similar.
Cartoon sea life; sharks are dealt with by bombs, with no gore.
Our take
Livelier than most fishing games: bait management, bombs for sharks and bubbles full of bonuses keep you busy. It is less relaxing than it looks, and better for it.

What is Fishing Frenzy?
Fish, blast sharks with bombs and catch bubbles full of gifts.
Fishing Frenzy is an action-packed fishing game. In the game's own words, you fight for your prey: catch fish, blow up rabid sharks and seahorses, collect starfish and seashells, and catch bubbles containing bombs, worms, treasure, extra time and gifts.
You move your boat across the water and drop a hook to catch fish. Worms are your bait, so you need to keep a supply, and bombs let you deal with sharks. Levels increase in difficulty as you progress.
Controls
- ▸Move the boat left and right.
- ▸Drop the hook to catch fish.
- ▸Use bombs against sharks.
How it plays
Fish swim at different depths. You position your boat and drop your hook, using worms as bait. Caught fish add to your score.
Bubbles float up carrying bonuses — bombs, worms, treasure, time and gifts. Sharks are dangerous and must be dealt with using bombs. When time or bait runs out, the game ends.

How Fishing Frenzy compares
Fishing Frenzy is the fishing game on GAME SPACE. Mad Shark puts you in control of the shark instead, in a fast side-scrolling rampage.
If you enjoy dropping a hook at the right moment, Gold Miner uses a similar idea with a swinging claw.
Deep dive
More than a fishing game
Fishing Frenzy adds action to fishing with bombs, sharks and bonus bubbles. It is busier and more energetic than a typical relaxing fishing game.
Managing resources
Worms, bombs and time are all limited. Balancing them is the key to a high score.
Who it suits
It suits players who want a lively casual game with an underwater theme.
Understanding the bubbles
Bubbles rise through the water carrying different bonuses: bombs, worms, treasure, extra time and gifts. Gift bubbles can give you extra bombs, extra worms or bonus points. Catching the right bubble at the right time — worms when bait is low, time when the clock is short — keeps your session going.
Dealing with sharks
Sharks are the main danger. The game's own description encourages you to blow up rabid sharks, so keep a bomb ready for when they appear.
Levelling up
As you catch more, you move up levels, and the challenge grows. Your best and last scores are saved.
Planning a successful fishing session
Fishing Frenzy rewards players who keep an eye on all their resources at once. Before you start chasing big catches, check how many worms and bombs you have. Worms are your bait, so if the count is low, look out for worm bubbles and gifts. Bombs are your protection against sharks, so try to keep at least one in reserve rather than using them all at the first opportunity. Time bubbles extend your session, which is worth a lot when you are close to levelling up. The game's own description encourages you to collect everything possible — starfish, seashells, treasure and gifts — so make a habit of sweeping the boat across the screen to catch whatever is rising, while keeping the hook ready for the next fish.
