What is Zombie Shooter?
Shoot chains and beams to bring the scenery crashing down on 30 levels of zombies.
Zombie Shooter is a physics-based shooting puzzle across 30 levels. Each level is a small construction of beams, blocks, boxes and balls, some of them held up by chains and hinges. Zombies stand around and inside the structure, and you have a limited magazine of bullets to eliminate them all.
Shots can hit zombies directly, ricochet off metal and wood, or break the chains holding objects in place. Cut the right chain and a heavy ball swings into a zombie or a beam drops onto a group of them. Levels are rated with up to three stars based on how efficiently you finish.
How the shooting works
At the start of a level you see the whole structure, the zombies and your shooter. You fire one shot at a time. Bullets ricochet off hard surfaces, and hitting a chain releases whatever it was holding. Objects then fall, swing and roll according to physics, often taking zombies with them.
The level is complete once all zombies are eliminated. Your kills and remaining ammunition determine your star rating, which is saved for every level. If you run out of bullets with zombies still standing, you restart and try another approach.
Controls
- ▸Aim with the mouse or by touch.
- ▸Click or tap to fire.
- ▸Restart the level to try a different plan.
Your first five minutes
- Study the level and identify every zombie.
- Look for chains holding heavy objects above or beside zombies.
- Shoot the chain that could take out the most zombies at once.
- Use direct shots for any zombies left exposed.
- Restart if a plan clearly fails rather than wasting bullets.
Tactics and target priority
Chains are the key
Most levels are built around one or two chains holding up something heavy. Releasing them at the right moment can clear several zombies with a single bullet, which is the fastest route to three stars.
Use ricochets
Metal surfaces send bullets bouncing off at an angle. If a zombie cannot be hit directly, look for a metal surface that could deflect a shot towards it.
Order matters
Shooting one chain can change how everything else falls. Think about which object to release first so that the collapse helps rather than hinders your next shot.
Quick tips
- ★Look for chains before aiming at zombies.
- ★Bounce shots off metal to reach hidden targets.
- ★Replay levels for three stars.
Common mistakes to avoid
- ✕Shooting zombies directly when a chain could hit several.
- ✕Releasing objects in an order that blocks later shots.
- ✕Not restarting when a level is clearly lost.
Deep dive
A puzzle about cause and effect
Zombie Shooter is really a puzzle about cause and effect. Every chain, beam and ball is part of a little machine, and your bullets are the trigger. The fun comes from working out how the machine is meant to fall and then setting it off with one well-placed shot.
Thirty levels of variety
With 30 levels, the game gradually introduces more complex structures. Early levels might need one obvious chain; later ones combine several chains, swinging objects and ricochets.
Who it suits
This is a good fit for players who enjoy physics puzzles and planning. There is no time pressure, so you can think through each level at your own pace.
How Zombie Shooter compares
Zombie Shooter and Zombie Buster are the two physics-puzzle shooters on GAME SPACE. Zombie Buster is about ricochets across 20 levels; Zombie Shooter adds chains and swinging objects across 30 levels.
If you prefer real-time zombie action, try SWAT vs Zombies or Ranger vs Zombies. If you like the physics side, Robotex Puzzle and Supercar Puzzle offer calmer puzzle challenges.
